Rubber Bushings

We see control bushings fail with great regularity on 964 cars. Failures seem mileage independent, the rubber deteriorates due to age. The symptom is vibration felt in the steering wheel.

Stock-hardness – Restores performance and ride quality to original.

Sport-Hardness – Similar to the 993 RS bushing, sport hardness rubber is about 25% firmer. Deflects less under cornering loads and thereby maintains alignment more precisely.

Factory replacement for failing and/or squeeking Porsche 964 upper front strut mounts.

The control arm bushing is comprised of two halves for each arm. Kit includes two halves for one complete bushing.

Rebuild Your Spring Plates

Our bushing replacement kit allows you to restore your original spring plates, without the high cost of complete replacement plates. Our product is modeled after the factory original bushings and similarly includes a spherical bearing encased in an outer elastomeric layer. The elastomeric layer provides noise and vibration isolation, similar to the stock components.

This clever tool is a real time saver that makes easy work of removing split bushings. Doing the job with the arms still on the car for 911, 964, and 993 saves time and labor.

It used to be a difficult task

Split bushings are actually two separate bushings, each pressed in from opposite sides of the arm. Removing them requires driving them out from the parting line where they meet, in the center of the arm. This has traditionally been a difficult job that requires removing the arm and fumbling with a punch to try and drive out the bushings from the center.

This tool makes it easy to engage the parting line and drive out the bushing. It is so easy that the job can be performed without removing the arm from the 911, 964, and 993.
