Hypercoil Springs

Main Springs

We offer Hypercoil springs seperately or as part of a coilover kit.

Hypercoil springs are found on Indycars, ALMS, Grand Am and more. It's not often we get to use real racecar stuff and actually have it be affordable. Enjoy the opportunity!

Hypercoil makes racing coilover springs in standard sizes. They fit around shocks specifically setup with coilover hardware.   If you need a complete coilover setup, click here.

Mainsprings are available in a broad range of rates, and several different inside diameters; 2.25", 2.5", 60mm and more.  A selection of lengths are available (uncompressed length) 6, 7, 8, 9 inches and more.  Outside diameter varies with spring rate.

If you need help selecting the correct size and rate, contact us.

Other brand coils are often built to a 3% spring tolerance, or more. Hypercoils have a Life-Time Guarantee that coils remain within 2% of the original manufacturing tolerances for rate and free length - that means no spring sag. In fact they typically measure within 1% of labeled rate.

Helper Springs

Helper springs have a very low rate and collapse under the car's weight.  Their purpose is to keep the main spring tensioned when the wheel goes to full droop under hard cornering (lifted wheel), over bumps, and on the jack.

Helper springs are required in any coilover setup in which the mainspring looses tension at full droop - that is most coilover setups.  If the following formulae is true, you need helper springs:

Corner weight / Wheel rate < rebound travel

Without helpers, the main spring may not re-seat properly and will cause a sudden change to that corner weight/height.

Correct spring divider hardware is required between the main and helper springs.  Helper springs are available in a variety of diameters and lengths.

You can also order help springs as part of a complete coilover kit, here
