Front
Suspension
Front
suspension is in and it's nothing if not colorful. It should also
provide some serious roadholding ability. Elephant Racing bearings
are used at all pivot points creating a solid foundation for
future upgrades (as soon as the looming deadline is
passed). Right now, the Boge struts are equipped with
Bilstein sports. These will soon be swapped out for raised
spindle struts.

Ready
to start. PolyBronze
control arm bearings have already been installed in the
freshly re-plated mounts.
|
 |
Hollow
sway bar is in. Not only are they light in weight,
these bars are a work of art to look at. The quality
of the hardware is obvious and with continuous adjustment
they enable the suspension to be precisely dialed in.

 |
Upgrade
to aluminum cross member saves a few precious pounds.
Re-plated control arm mounts are visible. Steering
rack was re-greased.
|
 |
Monoball
cartridges are installed in the re-plated camber
plates. Fresh ball joints and turbo tie rods tighten
everything up.
|
 |
Fresh
wheel bearings and rotors are installed.
Bilstein
sport shocks are installed along with 22mm Sander
hollow torsion bars.
|
 |
Triangulated
strut brace still needs to be installed along with brake
calipers and lines. You can see the wiring harness beginning
to re-emerge.
