Painted
panels
With
the deadline past, the pace of work has slowed down. The
pressure to cut corners is gone, the project can be completed right.
The
blue panels have all been prepped and painted. Everything was
shot off the car which made it easy to paint both side of the
panels.
Body
prep work takes an amazing amount of time. The
metal panels were all in good shape, yet the prep work took
days. Door edges and hinges were stripped to bar metal.
Fiberglass parts all required some cleanup, especially the
bumpers. The rear bumper was modified to accommodate the
dual-out RSR muffler. The stock muffler outlet was filled in.
The
bumpers are in sealer, but have not yet been painted orange.
