For Setrab STD series coolers you need to order fittings separately. Choose the appropriate AN size or 30mm fitting for your application.
Widemouth Carrera and C2 coolers come complete with 30mm fittings. If needed, these can be unthreaded from the cooler and replaced with AN fittings.
Setrab STD272 cooler is a diagonal flow - the fittings are on opposite sides of the cooler (eg oil enters upper left, exits lower right). This yields about 10% increase in cooler efficiency.
Setrab COM500-15 coolers accept male threaded NPT fittings.
For Porsche installations, 30mm metric fittings offer superior flow and make it easy to fabricate hoses matching the factory system. Using 30mm metric fittings, Setrab coolers can be installed without the need for adapters.
AN fittings are typically used for non-Porsche applications and Porsche applications that have been converted to AN hoses and components. AN-16 fittings are available for connection convenience when using AN-16 hoses, however the ID of the AN-16 fittings is AN-12 size.
30mm Widemouth fittings are 17.5 mm ID and have flow capacity about 50% greater than AN-12 fittings (typically 14.5mm). They are available for retrofitting to Carrera and C2 type oil coolers (part number 0101100) and for Setrab oil coolers (part number 0111100). These fittings accept standard 30mm Porsche type hose fittings and facilitate easy installation of oil coolers into Porsche cars without the use of AN / metric adapters.
Note many original Carrera oil coolers have welded on fittings and cannot accept Widemouth threaded fittings. Later Carrera coolers are equipped with threaded fittings and can be upgraded. Check to be sure your cooler has threaded fittings before ordering.
