When using factory heat exchangers on a '75-'83 911 in combination with '74-'89 external thermostat you can upgrade to the superior Elephant Racing oil lines or stay with the OEM style oil lines:

This is correct for all 911 '74-'89 except '72.
Part number 018000 Universal Crossover Pipe passes over the transaxle and offers superior ground clearance. It works with all clutches including '70-'71 "pusher" style. It works with SSI/ headers and all factory heat exchangers. Cars that expect to switch between heat exchanger types (emissions testing) cam use this part allowing the exchangers to be swapped without the need to swap the oil lines.
Part numbers 0200000 and 0210000 are "high clearance" oil lines. These connect the oil tank and crossover pipe to the thermostat and route above the wheel arch to create added clearance for wide tires. These are especially critical for pre-72 cars which have less oil line clearance than do the later cars.
